I have been very naughty this month. Forgetting about my spending ban, I have splurged on polish like money is running out of fashion.
Like the hypergels, I had no intention of buying these. I thought they were okay, but pearlescent type polishes were definitely not for me - they didn't suit me. Then I saw them on 3 for 2 in Tescos and greedily scooped them up.
The colours I bought were Heather, Meadow and Pearl.
As per any other Barry M polish - these were lovely to apply. They were nice and creamy and applied without being smeary. I applied two coats in my swatches but I feel like I could have done with another coat - just to get a deeper colour.
They're easy to clean up and, unlike other Barry M polishes, they don't stain (though the light colour helps).
One niggle I do have, and you'll read more about this in a future blog post, is that they're not very good for nail art. I'll just leave that there...
Here are my swatches.
These swatches look great! I love the look of Meadow! :)
ReplyDeleteI really like these, however, when I went into superdrug to see them I wasn't too impressed. They look horrible in the bottle...I guess I just found out I really don't like silk polishes. Although I might buy the green one just to test it :) lovely swatches as always xx
ReplyDeleteOooh these look pretty on you, especially the green and the pink! But tut-tut for breaking the monthly polish budget ;-) xx
